Project Coordinator
Føn Energy Services is a joint venture between the Norwegian industrial companies Akastor (Aker), IKM Group and DISA International which allows us to set aggressive growth targets and offer our clients the highest quality of services. A key part of the business model of Føn is to have the best operations team in the industry that can build solutions for our customers utilizing a combination of in-house resources and resources from Aker and The IKM Group.
As a project coordinator in Føn, the employee will be spending a majority of the time coordinating and managing services orders/projects being done across the Lifting Appliances & Life Saving Appliances Departments, this mainly includes work within Traditional energy & Maritime segment but may also involve wind energy projects. The work performed by the employee will fall under the following three categories:
The position reports to the Project Director according to P&L and/or Project Manager.
Managing and Delivering on Projects
- Lead individual projects and manage orders within oil & gas, maritime and wind (scope, time, cost, quality, risk etc.)
- Act as day-to-day contact point for customers
- Plan and optimize internal resource allocation
- Manage procurement activities
- Utilize processes, routines and technical details to define and prepare work instructions/work order packages
- Manage and facilitate project risk reviews
- Document control and manage documentation deliverables
- Act as ambassador for Føn Energy Services internally and externally
- Contribute to and drive quotation/tender processes
- Identify commercial opportunities with existing and new customers and secure additional business
- Performs various administrative tasks related to project delivery (for example bidding and billing)
- Function as an extended support for Project Managers when deemed necessary
- Perform all other tasks related to delivering a successful execution on the company’s projects
Commercial and Business Development
- Serve as focal point toward designated customers
- Enhance revenue from existing clients through increasing retention, optimizing, and implementing new pricing models, increasing customer retention, and increasing scope.
- Work in close collaboration with the Commercial organization
Leadership & Management
- Apply effective leadership in accordance with the Company’s values instilling a customer orientated and collaborative mindset in the team
- Support in building a highly motivated, coherent, and strong team
- Potentially serve as direct report for technical personnel
Health, environment, safety and quality conditions:
- The position holder must ensure that HSEQ considerations are considered during the planning and execution of work tasks.
- The position holder must ensure that established principles, instructions and guidelines are complied with.
Necessary education, experience and competence requirements:
- Technical degree or Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not a necessity (experience may compensate for a lack of formal education).
- Technical knowledge within Lifting Appliances and/or Life Saving Appliances, relevant rules and regulations is considered an advantage
- An understanding of project management methodologies and tools is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The successful candidate will need to communicate fluently in Norwegian, both orally and in writing, to effectively engage with colleagues and clients.
- Ability to manage multiple activities/projects/orders simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
- The position requires that the candidate will undergo job specific training
- Familiarization with products, services and relevant deliverables
- Familiarize with governing and customer specific requirements
- Familiarization with internal processes
