Project Manager

Location: IJmuiden, The Netherlands

Føn currently employs 115 people and is present in Oslo, Ijmuiden / Amsterdam, Stavanger, Aberdeen, Copenhagen, Esbjerg, UK and Taiwan.

We are experiencing an increased demand for our services in offshore wind and are looking to expand our team of Project Managers. The position is based in IJmuiden (NL) and remote working solutions will not be considered.

Purpose and scope of the position

As a Project Manager, you will be overseeing and delivering projects, from providing input during the commercial process, coordinating preparations and mobilization of resources, through to the safely, on-time and within budget completion of the project life cycle. You will work closely with senior management colleagues, external contractors and customers alike, whereby you are directly responsible for all aspects of project execution and completion as per internal and external safety and quality standards.

The position reports to Project Director of Offshore Wind Services.

Qualifications, requirements and desired characteristics:

  • Technical Bachelor or Master degree with at least 2-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Safety Checklist Contractors degree (VCA Vol)
  • Knowledge of Dutch and English
  • Willing to travel and/or work abroad for short periods of time (mobilization/ demobilization of project)

Main responsibilities:

Project

  • Lead the dedicated project team
  • Participate and/or chair in organized safety meetings, instructions and/or trainings
  • Discuss progress, planning and requirements with customer and subcontractors
  • Ensure correct preparation of project related documents (including HSE-plans)
  • Set up and manage project planning and schedule
  • Responsible for correct and safe project execution, during all phases of the project, in accordance with client requirements and budgets
  • Monitor and manage potential contract variations

General

  • Attend internal company meeting(s), provide all relevant and necessary input and actively participate in scheduled company meeting(s)
  • Implement and promote Føn procedures stated in Føn Corporate Management System (CMS) on all assigned projects
  • Liaise with Føn SHEQ department and share SHEQ statistics, registrations and other relevant updates
  • Liaise with supporting departments and share relevant project data ( financial, planning etc.)
  • Actively attend network possibilities (e.g. Offshore energy exhibition, etc.)
