Job description

Føn Energy Services is a joint venture between the Norwegian industrial companies Akastor and IKM with the ambition of building a globally leading service provider in the energy sector by 2030. We currently serve the traditional energy, onshore wind, and offshore wind segments. We aim to achieve our growth by entering new segments, recruiting the best people, investing in growth, and differentiating through leading edge digital solutions. Today, Føn has 80 employees, and access to several thousand technicians and engineers through its owners.

We are experiencing an increased demand for our services, and we are seeking an experienced and dynamic project director to join our team. The position is based in Tananger, and remote working solutions will not be considered.

Purpose of the position

• Deliver projects to clients across all of our core markets
• Lead a team of project managers and delivery personnel
• Build our client-oriented project delivery model across the company
• Contribute towards the overall growth of Føn Energy Services
• Ensure processes are implemented and followed across the organization

Responsibilities

The employee will be responsible for managing multiple projects and play a significant part in growing our business. The responsibilities are divided into Delivery, Commercial and Business Development and Leadership

Project Delivery

• Oversee the delivery of multiple projects to the most important clients
• Deliver standardized high-quality work to our strategic clients to generate recurring revenue
• Maintain an overview of the existing project portfolio
• Develop project or project portfolio specific KPIs and structures to ensure delivery

Leadership

• Develop the team of project managers
• Contribute to and maintain a positive work-culture
• Play a key role in developing our capabilities across the business

Commercial work

• Enhance revenue from existing clients through ensuring high quality delivery, resulting in increased business
• Participate in commercial work as and when needed, such as tenders and critical client dialogues
• Maintain an overview of all existing clients at the company and be involved in onboarding new clients

• Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English

Qualifications

• University degree
• 10+ years of experience as project manager
• Experience from the energy sector with a strong network
